Parish Schools Design a Postcard Project- Daoine agus Áit

Congratulations to all the 4th-6th class pupils in Clarecastle & Ballyea schools who took part in our Design a Postcard competition. Over 150 young people showed us how they see Daoine agus Áit in Clarecastle and Ballyea and what is special about the people and place in their locality. We are very grateful to two well-known local artists, Niamh Hickey and Hilary Gilmore who judged the competition and we are delighted to announce the winners today.

Judges Results:
The judges would like to commend the fantastic skills and high amount of entries to this competition from both Ballyea and Clarecastle schools. The students made a wonderful effort to respond to the theme and present works in an imaginative and creative way. It was very, very, difficult to choose winners as the standard was extremely high. We have shortlisted some of the entries we thought were particularly good in the different classes, and then chosen the final winners from that group. Very well done to everyone on your hard work!!
